We are a husband and wife team with three young children who are sharing the floating journey with us.
Our passion for floating began with my husband, who consistently suffered from sporting injuries. The long recovery times of these injuries were degrading his quality of life, as well as increasing stress, both on the mind and body.
We had heard about some of the benefits floating can offer, so we decided to try it, as a solution to my husband’s persistent soreness and general fatigue. After our first experience we were hooked, the effects lasted for a few days afterwards with both mind and body enjoying the prolonged states of relaxation. The recovery times from football were heavily reduced enabling my husband to get back on the pitch, and return to his fully functioning and energetic self.
Away from the sporting side, it turned out to be a highly effective way of releasing tension built up from the pressures of running his own business and has enabled him to maintain a relaxed approach to life, benefiting our kids most of all!
For me, having been interested in yoga, meditation and general health and wellness for a long time, floating has proved to be the perfect extension to this lifestyle. The float pod offers beginners to experiences similar to advanced meditation through sensory deprivation.
Having lived in the Northern suburbs of Perth for a number of years, my husband and I have a certain attachment to the area. Since opening up Float and Restore we have made it our mission to engage with and support as many local businesses as possible and have set up partnership programmes with a number of organisations such as charities, chiropractors, physio therapists, martial arts gyms, nutritionists, health food outlets and occupational therapists. We find these businesses complement our own and provide an alternative solution many of our clients’ needs.
Due to the times we live in, where stress and strain seems to be the norm, we wanted to be able to offer people the same opportunity to experience full body and mind restoration, and the chance to revitalise. Float and Restore offers you the chance to come in and leave everyday concerns behind with floatation therapy and massage. After your float, we offer a luxurious chill out/quiet room where you have the chance to relax and enjoy an invigorating herbal tea.
Our new centre, located on a peaceful street in Wangara in Perth’s northern suburbs, offers a place to withdraw from the busyness of everyday life, somewhere you can come to relax, restore and re-energise.
Come and experience what it’s like to completely recover from the strains and stress of everyday life, and return to a fully restored and happier version of you.
We look forward to meeting you, happy floating from the team at Float and Restore!
